2 events left in the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs, with plenty of chances to build that bankroll. The BMW Championship will feature the top 70 golfers in a non cut event.  In other words, pound the BIRDIE!! makers.  Consider course history a 2013 cold and windy win by Zach Johnson -16, and a wet 2015 win by Jason Day -22. Scores will be low.  Weather should be  fantastic, calm wind and very warm in Lake Forest, IL.  Lots to play for, as only the top 30 golfers in the Fed EX Cup standings at end of the week move on to play the East Lake Final.  A good 20 of these golfer are safe, but there will be some scrambling near the number on Sunday.  For some top 30, can also mean a guaranteed spot at Augusta next year. This weeks Hitting the Links will feature my top plays, value plays and a couple long shots that can be used for any golf lineup, outright bet, top 5, and top 10 play.

TOP PLAY

Jason Day (Odds 16-1, DK $9600, FD $9100) – Of course DJ is a good fit odds about 6-1, you don’t get him at 16-1.  Jason Day once the #1 player in the world flashed some of that form late at TPC Boston. His opening round was atrocious, and round 2 not much better. However,  he finished very strong the final round -7 on the front 9 and a 66. Sign me Up, Big Boy off the tee, All around game, clutch on Sundays 16-1.

VALUE PLAYS

Henrik Stenson (Odds 23-1, DK $8,900, FD $8,500) Won the Wyndham Championship gate to wire, T17 is the worst he has finished in months. When he is playing like this you have to use him.

Justin Rose (Odds 25-1, DK $8,500, FD $7,700) Playing really well since he made a small change in his clubs. He is way better than 25-1 in class. Due for a Top 5, maybe a Win.

Patrick Reed (Odds 45-1, DK $8,000, FD $8,400)  Congrats! First child Dad Swag! Plus his last round 66. Guaranteed Top 10.

Patrick Cantlay (Odds 50-1, DK $8,600, FD $6,700) Everything in his game has been near perfect, except putting. Putting greens are kind here, I like his chances.

LONG SHOTS

Kyle Stanley (Odds 125-1, DK $7,400, FD $5,500) Young and ready to challenge. Shorter course fits his scoring style.

Xander Schauffele (Odds 150-1, DK $6900, FD $5,800) Under priced all year long. Can birdie with the best of em.

Good Luck ! LET’S HIT!
