Everyone and their mother is attempting to trade for Paul George right now. After the All-Star announced his intention to become a free-agent after next season, the Pacers began searching for a trade partner. After all, it’s better to trade him and start the rebuilding process, rather than losing him for nothing in free agency.
Early contenders included the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and Washington Wizards. The Cavaliers would likely give George the best chance to win a championship, but with an aging Lebron James, the Cavaliers window may be closing. The Lakers have the hometown advantage, as George is from southern California. In fact, George was allegedly trying to recruit Klay Thompson to join him on the Lakers. As a reminder, Paul George is still a member of the Indiana Pacers, and is already recruiting for the Lakers.
Meanwhile, the Celtics and Wizards figure to be a step away from dethroning the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. Whether he joins John Wall and Bradley Beal in D.C., or Isaiah Thomas in Boston, Paul George seems to be in good shape.
However, recent events have shown a new front-runner in the chase for Paul George. The Tune Squad have allegedly voiced their interest in the four-time All-Star, and George showed similar interest.
“Michael Jordan is the best of all time,” George said in a statement on Tuesday. “And you just can’t pass up an opportunity like that.” Michael Jordan is still an official member of the Tune Squad roster, alongside Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and Bill Murray.

“I have to do what’s best for me, and my career. And those guys are undefeated.” It should be noted, the Tune Squad do hold an official record of 1-0 in one game played.
Yes, the game was played in 1996, but rest assured, the Tune Squad shows no sign of fatigue. “I feel better than ever,” Bill Murray responded in reference to his age. “Me, Bugs, Mike, and Paul? Now that’s a super-team. We could sweep the Warriors, no question.” Bill Murray did officially retire following the victory over the Monstars; but he announced he is returning to the game to play alongside Michael Jordan and Paul George.
Trade talks are still in the preliminary phases, but it’s expected that the Tune Squad will be trading Tweety Bird and Sylvester the Cat in exchange for Paul George. Reports stated that the tension between Tweety and Sylvester in the locker room was detrimental to the success of the team.
Look out for the match-up between the Warriors and the Tune Squad on Christmas Day.
